SecFolder requires an internet connection for license verification. However, if you need to use the application in an air-gapped environment, special licenses are available - contact support@secfolder.net for details.
Upon uninstallation, your files remain on your device but become unprotected. Users are responsible for managing and securing their previously protected data after uninstallation.
Yes. Subscription licenses can be transferred at the end of the current billing period, while one-time purchase licenses can be transferred once per year after initial purchase. All transfers must be requested via support@secfolder.net.
One-time purchase licenses receive free updates within their major version (e.g., 1.0 to 1.9), while subscription licenses get unlimited updates during the active subscription period. Updates are optional and can be configured in settings.
SecFolder provides email support for installation, configuration assistance, and bug reporting. Support is provided in English and on a best-effort basis. Custom development and third-party integrations are not included.
All your files and folders remain locally on your device - SecFolder does not maintain any cloud storage or backup of your data. You are solely responsible for backing up your protected files and folders.
SecFolder only collects your email address, a unique hardware ID for license activation, and usage statistics through PostHog analytics. Usage statistics collection can be completely disabled in the application settings. Importantly, we never access or store any of your personal files or folders on our servers.
